A good friend raised an important question to me this past weekend… She was rewriting her will and wasn’t sure how to split her fortune among her kids. We discussed what this means after we are gone.

There is never an “even need” between our children. They are each in need of different things at different times and when we are alive, we can give on that “as needed” basis. It is never even or 100% balanced between them (and that’s okay).

But when we die, what’s left can and should be split evenly. We give what we can while we are alive, and when we are gone, what we have is evenly distributed. At least this is what I believe.

What would you do?

Happy week,
Yael
