Yael Edelist For many years I had one concept of what community is for me. As an Israeli, I had this cultural concept that people in my “community” are people I know very well. I know personal things about them, I know where they live, what they do, who they love ; like close friends that know each other well.
That term changed and expanded so much since.I belong to communities today that I feel very connected to. Members that, though I don’t always know very well, I share an intimacy with. We are not friends outside the community but we need each other’s help to practice and share experiences.
My Tai Chi community, my work community, my women’s community, our zoom community.Life would be impossible without those communities.We cannot do it alone.
