Yael was kind enough to let me come to the showroom to try on a few pieces I was interested in. Sometimes, what you think you want and what works are different things. And then I saw this dress hanging by itself on a rack – I swear it whispered for me to come over. The moment I tried it on, I lit up. A kind of goth/babydoll with stomper boots look and I felt like I was alive (but faithful to myself) as I turned 67 last fall! I love clothing – but have enjoyed not being a slave to it as I get older. I’m choosing what makes me happy. Somehow, this dress found my essence. Youthful in spirit, mischievous but feet firmly on the ground – even if the calendar says something else.

“Love the fabric: my 2nd pair. 4 stars because I am 5’3” and they run rather long but I fixed it by having a local seamstress move the waistband down.” — Eileen looking stylish on a Sunday in Tekbika Breeze Pants.
Back in Alembika’s NYC Showroom, Eileen (below) scored a pair of Papaya Relaxed Pants in Black Denim! She paired them beautifully with different soft jersey knits from our Tops, Tunics and Blouses page.

Eileen sent us a photo of the one dressy outfit she brought on her trip to Dublin. It’s Guest Designer Ozai N Ku Moldova Midi Dress in the pattern, Foam.
She paired it with her own cardigan and her trademark goth-style stomper boots. Thanks for packing us on your trip and being an #alembikawoman Eileen!

A few years ago, I went on a trip for a week where I needed clothes for different climates. From very hot to fall –cool. Packed a number of other outfits, but to tell you the truth, I ended up wearing these two outfits (below) no less than two or three times each. They were easy and looked nice and I felt comfortable, which was the most important part of it.
