How would you describe your style as a teenager?

My style in my youth was eclectic, mostly boho chic. I liked colorful and unique clothes, free and comfortable in their style. I embroidered on cheap items and layered skirts naturally.
How would you describe your style now? In many ways my taste has remained similar over the years. At my age, I have trouble finding clothes I like in regular stores. My solution is to look for designers who understand older women and have playfulness and humor in their designs.

What do you do for work? I am an artistic and multidisciplinary person. I am a singer and lecturer at colleges on various subjects related to poetry and songs in Hebrew. In my youth, I directed shows and was even the choreographer. I have been teaching voice development for many years and together with my husband Ron, who is a doctor of music, we wrote a book that deals with the analysis and explanations of classical Hebrew songs.

Where do you wish to travel to for your first time or a return trip? We recently traveled to Japan. It was an empowering and exciting experience. We have an attraction to wild nature. The next trip may be to Vietnam.

Who gave you the most valuable piece of advice and what was it? About two years ago I had open heart surgery. It’s an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. The recovery was slow and discouraging. As a former gymnast, I didn’t give up on a full return to the life I had. When I left the hospital, the surgeon told me: If you want to recover, remember 3 things. Steak, stairs, and walking. He was right! I ate tiny pieces of many steaks and my hemoglobin went up. I went up and down the 20 steps leading to my house and my lungs filled with air, and the gradual walk outside reminded me that there was something to live for.
