How would you describe your style as a teenager?
As a teen I struggled a bit with my fashion voice. Being on the petite side (5’2” now on a good day!) my clothing choices were more limited so I experimented with colors and shapes and landed on a more funky and eclectic style.
How would you describe your style now?
My style now definitely trends toward unique, fun shapes and textures with pops of color and asymmetrical lines. Comfort for me is key but I always love to feel like I’m making a sartorial statement.
Rhonda is wearing Velvet Punto Pants and Uma Velvet Mockneck Tee in the Eclipse pattern. This outfit is from the After Dark Collection.

What is one piece of clothing that you cannot live without?
I can’t live without a good pair of black pants, usually in a funky shape, that serves as the canvas for fun and bold accompanying pieces. Oh and a unique pair of shoes is a must!
What would you do if you had the whole day for yourself?
My ideal day would include popping into the library for a good book, grabbing some coffee and finding a great place to people watch for a while, spending some time exploring with my 2 year old grandson and ending the day with a soak in a lavender scented bath!
Who gave you the most valuable piece of advice and what was it?
My father, through his actions and the life he lived, taught me so much. His best advice was to find my passion and then do what I love. Most importantly he taught me that self-confidence is a choice and that challenges are not obstacles to overcome, but rather opportunities from which to grow and learn. And I haven’t stopped growing and learning yet!
Rhonda, thank you for being an #AlembikaWoman
