How would you describe your style as a teenager?
“As a teenager, I kept things pretty simple — jeans and fitted t-shirts were my everyday uniform. But I always had one trademark: platform shoes. The higher the shoes, the better. Looking back, I think those shoes were my way of adding a little drama and flair to an otherwise casual style. They made me a little taller, bolder, and just a little bit more like me.”
How would you describe your style now?

“These days, my style is really about how I feel in the clothes. Comfort is number one for me — when I feel completely comfortable, I feel confident. I still enjoy my basic knits and jeans but I’ve recently fallen in love with the Iconic Stretch jeans, I love the leopard. So cool and comfy with my black v neck tops and boots. I have embraced adding patterns or interesting pieces that give my look more depth and personality.
What is one piece of clothing that you cannot live without?

“The one item of clothing I can’t live without is a V-neck top, in black or my favorite color, brown. They are my go-to because I feel an open neckline looks a bit dressier, and since I’m bustier and petite, the V-neckline is especially flattering.”
What would you do if you had the whole day for yourself?
“My perfect day to myself would start with a long walk, about an hour and a half, so I could enjoy being outside in nature. Then I’d treat myself to a trip to the supermarket, pick out some beautiful ingredients, and cook a really nice meal for my husband and me. To top it off, I’d curl up in bed and indulge in a little online shopping — my idea of the perfect ending.”
Who gave you the most valuable piece of advice and what was it?
I’ve been lucky to have the same best friend since childhood, and I spent a lot of time with her family growing up. Her parents always treated me like one of their own, and I’ll never forget something they told me: Finish what you start. Even when it’s hard. Even when you’d rather quit. That stuck with me – through college, through raising kids, through everything.
