What did you do or do for work?

I was in international marketing and public relations for ABC, ESPN and BBC. It was exciting to be part of television from three local stations to the development of cable to now the streaming platform. And the opportunity to travel to many countries gave me the taste for exploring different cultures.

Now I have the most fun hobbies — cabaret and travel! It’s a very supportive community and is so much fun, plus I raise money for charities near and dear to my heart. And my husband and I enjoy traveling whenever we can.

How would you describe your style as a teenager?

I was the only one in high school who wore leotards and tights with a big jumper to school. Since I was a ballet dancer and going to rehearsals most days, my eclectic style saved me from the conservative style that was the signature of my high school.

How would you describe your style now?

I guess you could say my style is very “Alembika.” Comfortable, elegant and fun!

What would you do with a whole day to yourself?

Sleep in, take the dog to Central Park, go to the theater or cabaret matinee, rehearse a song or two, meet friends for lunch or dinner and watch some good streaming shows on TV.

Who gave you the most valuable piece of advice and what was it?

My dad told me to have a career and be independent – not to rush into marriage. As a result, I didn’t get married until I was 62 and am having a wonderful time. (Not sure that is what he meant, but it all worked!)

What’s on your Alembika Wishlist?

There are so many beautiful clothes, I have a long list of tops, pants and dresses on my wishlist!

Thank you for being an #alembikawomen
