Infuencer Deborah Darling is a pro-age ambassador who lives in Johannesburg. She believes growing older is a great privilege and says, “I started a late-blossoming modeling career… and this has given me the opportunity to spread the word that we are never too old, and it’s never too late.”
What did you do, or do you do, for work?
I used to be a technical writer in the IT space. Now I like to think of myself as a pro-ageing ambassador; my mission is to inspire others so that they see the beauty and possibility in themselves.
What do you do when you don’t know what to do?
When I don’t know what to do or how to do it, I take one small step, no matter how tiny that first step is.
What would you do if you had the whole day to yourself?
Settle into my hammock in the garden and read a book.
What is the best thing about being a woman?
I love that women have a gentle but powerful strength.
What’s is one piece of clothing you can’t live without?
Alembika Iconic Stretch Jeans (and my Converse sneakers!).
