We asked Laurie a handful of questions about being an advocate of Hadassah, the women-led organization in which women turn humanitarian values into action, working to build a healthier, safer and more equitable world. 

What makes you passionate about Hadassah? 
Hadassah is an organization of women with similar values. It is a wonderful sisterhood and very often a multigenerational family affair. 

What event or moment in your life made you think that life will never be the same.
Becoming a mother.

What do you do when you don’t know what to do?
I love to spend time with friends and socialize.

What would you do if you had the whole day to yourself?
Catch up on reading and knitting; take a walk.

What is the best thing about being a woman? 
The ability to multitask—do more than one thing at a time.

What is the one piece of clothing you cannot live without?
A good pair of black pants.

It means that, together, we have the power to help heal the world!

What does the Alembika’s “I am the source” campaign mean to you? 
As a woman I can do so much to make the world, and the Jewish world, a better place.
