I went with my husband for an MRI last week and a follow up meeting with his doctor. Hospitals and MRI’s are places that bring the anxiety levels up. It starts with the night before, the narratives we build in our heads, the different results and scenarios and we tend to choose the worst ones.

We woke up early and I decided that dressing up will be the right thing to do.

Dressing up for our day. Showing up at my best for my husband and for the place.

It helped in shaping up the day. My attitude was positive. I felt beautiful and strong for him, for me.

How do you deal with those feelings before a scary test?
