Yael Edelist Liz from Fine Points in Ohio likes to send her payments with little quotes that she puts on a long skinny piece of paper inside her envelopes. Last week we got this:
“You’ve got to do your own growing, no matter how tall your grandfather was”- An Irish Proverb.
I loved it.
It takes us years and sometimes a lifetime to get our parents voices out of our heads and find our own. We all have to do our own growing.
I know people that are very tall and don’t know it!
What a great message for our children to find their own way. Aim at what you want, not what your grandfather or your father was or wanted you to be.
