This coming Friday is Rosh Hashanah, the new year in the Jewish community.

I like to celebrate this holiday. We eat apples with honey and honey cakes for a new sweet year, and we place a fish head on the table, a tradition to wish for us a year ahead in which we lead with strength and determination rather than being at the tail of things.

I wish that for me, personally, to find balance in my life. I have the same hopes for Israel, to find middle ground.
May we have the strength to find compromise, live together, and accept our differences.

Shana Tova!
