Many of you ask about the design process and how Hagar Alembik, our head designer, comes up with new ideas.

Watching her during the years, I ask the same questions: How does she come up with new ideas, new fabrics and which colors to choose? How do designers know the new trends for the season? How do they infuse those trends with their own ideas?

Hagar says, “It is just inside me.”

She is always with paper and pencil drawing ideas, she is a painter as well so colors are part of her as an artist. Hagar grew up with art at home. Her father was an established sculptor, so shapes and later fabrics were a natural calling.

Hagar is always looking at Alembika Women. Learning their needs and culture, trying to meet them where they are.

I can’t wait to share what Hagar has dreamt up for fall. Coming very soon!

Where do your ideas come from? Do you express them creatively?
