I signed my will this past week. I updated it with a few items, confirmed my living will and health proxy. I had kept delaying it…
Answering questions like: who do I want to make medical decisions for me and follow my wishes, who do I trust to follow my instructions, who do I want to give what to.
I actually felt relieved it was done. I feel good that I took control of how I want to leave this world. Quite empowering.
I want to share my thoughts and decisions with my kids. From my experience, speaking about it before the person is gone can be so helpful. I want them to be part of the process. I want them to ask any questions they have. I want to answer them directly.
So many misunderstandings and hurt can be avoided if we talk about it openly.
Do you speak with your family about your end of life wishes?
