During our annual meeting, where we review next season and make plans for the business, I asked the team for some words of wisdom; what they each learned about themselves this past year and what they would like to work on this coming year.

Here is what they said (in order of appearance in our group photo starting at the top):

Anca, who runs aging reports every month in our wholesale division, wants to age well herself.  She wants to enjoy the process which she feels she is not at the moment.

Alin, our head of marketing said she wishes to keep enjoying her work, and how lucky she is to love what she does.

Gennifer, our editor who runs our private Facebook group said she wants to make Alembika Women feel good about themselves. She loves the communication with them and is so inspired by our Alembika Women.

Taryn, our graphic designer, wants to look ahead at the season so she can manage and plan her time better.

Fatima, our head of sales wants to learn how to pause more. She knows her reactions are much better when she waits.

Lola, our social media manager, wants to learn how to manage her time better.

Kira, our product manager, wants to find balance. She notices she gets overwhelmed when she takes on too many projects on herself. She wants to learn how to do it all one by one without feeling drowning. She wants to learn how to sleep more as well.

And I want to make sure I stick to my team. Stick to each, to see what’s needed and try to see them from their point of views so I can be a better boss.

What would you like to change or work on this coming year?
