If you have ever visited the Alembika showroom in the heart of midtown Manhattan’s garment district, you know we are a considerably small (yet mighty) team, run mostly by women… Over the next few weeks, we will be introducing you to some of these lovely ladies, who are all #AlembikaWomen in their own unique and wonderful ways!
Meet Anca, who not only manages the front desk, but also shipping and receivables. She is such an integral part of our work family and literally at the front of the business.
Anca is smart, witty and warm, and her presence at the front desk feels like comfort to me—and surely the rest of the team. She is the first beautiful face we see when we enter the showroom and she always has a welcoming smile. She is also our voice when you call the showroom.

What do you do for work?
I keep things moving; make people happy when they put a debt behind them.
What do you do when you don’t know what to do?
Pause.
What would you do if you had the whole day to yourself?
Not make any plans, for sure.
What is the best thing about being a woman?
Not being a man.
