Hello! My name is Michele and I’m an empty nester after having raised four beautiful children. Once they flew the coop I was figuring out my next chapter and started my blog, Diary of a Bored Housewife.

Here I shared what I did to keep from being bored-travel, volunteering, reading, and of course shopping! Then Covid hit and we weren’t going anywhere so my blog became more and more about fashion, and I’m so happy it did!

While the blog is on hold (it seems people would rather see photos of the clothes quickly and not read about them), I’m still sharing unique, statement making styles on Instagram (@diaryboredhousewife), Facebook, & Pinterest. I’ve loved Alembika for years and am honored to be able to share their designs and be an Alembika Woman!

What did you do or did for a living?

Initially I was a teacher for individuals with special needs. I was also a freelance editor/writer writing educational curricula. But my best job was when I became a mom to my four beautiful children.

What woman from history (alive or dead) would you love to have dinner with and why?

I would love to have dinner with my Grandma Esther, my dad’s mom. She died a few months before I got married and I would just love to sit with her and talk and eat chocolate pudding, which she made every time we visited!

What piece of wisdom would you like to pass along to younger women?

Surround yourself with those who support you in good times and in tough times. Don’t change yourself to fit in. You want to be with people who love you as you are!

What would you do if you had the whole day for yourself?

I have so many days to myself! I love to read, shop (of course!), work on my Instagram page. If I’m in Florida, I enjoy the beach. In New York, I love to walk and explore.
