Q&A with Yael Edelist, President of Alembika USA

On the Launch of Alembika’s Spring 2026 Collection

We sat down with Yael Edelist, President of Alembika USA — a woman-owned, women-run fashion house turning 5 this month — to learn about the latest drop and mission to be a part of every woman’s beauty and confidence journey.

What was the guiding inspiration behind Alembika’s Spring 2026 collection?

Yael: Spring and summer always invite a sense of lightness—both in how we dress and how we move through our days. For Spring 2026, we focused on ease without losing intention. Women want clothes that support real life: comfort, versatility and pieces that feel current without being trend-driven.

This season, we leaned into movement, layering, and color as a form of expression. Whether it’s relaxed silhouettes for everyday wear or more polished looks that still feel effortless, the collection is designed to meet women where they are—at home, traveling, working, and enjoying life.

Alembika is known for designing clothes women truly live in. Which collections do you think will resonate most this season?

Yael: Each collection speaks to a different rhythm of life, and that’s very intentional.

Urban Lounge reflects how women dress now—comfortable, unfussy, but still put together. This collection of elevated loungewear allows for layering and movement, whether you’re running errands, traveling, or working from home.

Spring Colors brings a sense of optimism. We’re seeing women gravitate toward color again—bright, bold shades and expressive prints that feel joyful rather than overwhelming. These are vacation-ready pieces, flowing dresses, and easy separates that energize everyday dressing.

With Urban Resort, we reimagined resortwear for real life. Breathable linens, soft prints, and modern neutrals create versatility—pieces you can wear by the water, in the city, or anywhere in between. Women want clothes that travel well and adapt to different environments, and this collection does exactly that.

Polished & Preppy offers structure without stiffness. Crisp cottons, denim staples, and tailored silhouettes are refreshed with colorblocking and clean lines. It’s classic, but modern—perfect for women who love refined style with personality.

How does the Spring 2026 collection align with current fashion trends, especially for women over 40?

Yael: We use trends as inspiration. Our lead-designer, Hagar Alembik, then translates the trends into clothing that works for our shoppers who are real women with full lives.

You’ll see oversized but thoughtful proportions, soft silhouettes and pieces that can be worn in multiple ways. Color is playing a larger role as a way to express confidence and individuality so we have added more color to Alembika’s offerings.

Travel and lifestyle seem to play a strong role in this season’s designs. Was that intentional?

Yael: Very much so. We conducted a survey and learned that Alembika women are traveling a lot more, but they’re also redefining what “travel” looks like—weekend escapes, creative retreats or simply moving through their city differently.

Collections like Urban Resort and Spring Colors were designed with that flexibility in mind. Breathable fabrics, wrinkle-friendly materials, and silhouettes that adapt from day to night are essential. Even our more polished pieces are meant to feel effortless and comfortable, whether you’re packing a suitcase or dressing for a busy day.

What do you hope women feel when they wear Alembika this Spring and Summer?

Yael: I hope they feel at ease, beautiful and confident. Clothing should support you, not demand effort. Spring 2026 is about the freedom to move, to express yourself and to dress in a way that reflects who you are today.

Alembika continues to design for women who value comfort, creativity, and authenticity. This collection honors that spirit while offering fresh ways to dress for the season ahead.
