This is the first time I cared about the World Cup and the NBA Championship.

I never followed sports in New York or elsewhere. But this year, wow what a different experience.

The fact that our country and city were so into it made me follow it all. I was fascinated by the talent and professionalism, the superstars, and the teamwork.

But I was also struck by the fact that even if you are a superstar who owns your skills and has won many games before, you can still have a bad day and fail to achieve your personal goals. Such an important, sometimes hard lesson to take.

We can only do our best. Put everything we have into it, and learn how to lose sometimes.

To me, those who smiled and hugged the winning team are the real winners.

Do you know how to lose?
