Daylight Savings is around the corner which makes us, New Yorkers, feel hopeful. A month into winter and we are all quite cranky and feeling it is the longest winter ever. We have a very short tolerance to changes, to global events, to people, while the world is showing us how patient we must be to stay sane and have faith.

This year started with so many challenges on so many levels. I wasn’t sure that all our fabrics would make it into Israel and I definitely wasn’t sure that production would go smoothly.

Alembika’s main production is done in the West Bank by Palestinians. We are always codependent on each other and have been for the last decade. What a gentle and fragile relationship. We do need each other.

When will we get it?
