Eating was always a comforting activity in my family. Chocolate or bread are what I crave if I am lonely, sad, angry, heartbroken or just unhappy.

When my kids struggle with their relationship with their father, I always suggest they join him for dinner or for lunch because they can eat together but not have to speak. It’s an activity we do well and enjoy. Use it. It keeps us connected.

Our team loves to eat together too, when we all meet in person twice a week. When we eat together, ideas come up and we have good conversations. Sharing a meal keeps us closer and creates intimacy.

What does food mean to you?

Happy Tuesday,

Yael
