I grew up with a single mother who was self-made and taught me how to be independent. She instilled confidence in me to know I can always make it on my own and achieve financial freedom without leaning on a man to provide for me.

Mom and I were never savvy about money. I internalized it all emotionally. I never worried about money but I also didn’t know what to do with it, how to grow it or how to save well. I find it interesting that something in me was still looking up for a man for advice or wisdom when it came to money.

I recently spoke with Barbara Huson. She is the leading authority on women, wealth and power and a best-selling author of many books such as Sacred Success. Speaking with her opened up that soft spot in me, my deeper level of power that has nothing to do with how much money I have or don’t.

Click to read her guest blog, The Myth of More and her #AlembikaWomen spotlight this week.

I asked Barbara to share her wisdom with our community through her blogs, books and in-person Zoom on Sunday, Feb 11th from 3-4pm ET. RSVP here.

How do you feel and behave with money?
