Dear Rootchi Community,
This past weekend, I participated in a Buddhist retreat with Pema Chödrön, a beloved teacher and Buddhist monk. She called it, “Welcoming the Unwelcome.” So appropriate, isn’t it?
She suggested that we collaborate with the world instead of resisting it. How do we do it? By looking into what we feel and holding it. To feel where it is in the body and hold it. Get to know it. Make friends with it.
As we get kinder and softer toward these uncomfortable feelings we can give them room to dissolve. When we resist, we actually get more attached to the feelings. How do you hold your feelings?
Happy Week,
Yael
