Yael Edelist I visited the Costume exhibition at the Met in NYC. If you have a chance, please make time to see it. It is breathtaking! I loved how they connect fashion and our bodies, aging and mortality.
The garments and artworks challenged and disrupted fashion’s obsession with youth, recognizing visibility and lived experience as radical aesthetic imperatives. All in one space, curated in perfection. It was a feeling of sacred space that I was not prepared for. I was in awe.
I took a few photos that don’t do it justice, but maybe they will give you a taste of what I am trying to convey.
