This week’s Alembika Woman first got our attention from her plentiful, wonderful reviews on Alembika.com. Then we learned she’s also a member of our Private Facebook Group!

How would you describe your style as a teenager? Classic and trendy, coordinated head to toe.

How would you describe your style now? Classic and artistic/creative.

What do you do (or did you do) for work? I’m retired. My career was in nursing and hospital administration where I worked at large academic medical centers (Duke, Northwestern, University of Wisconsin) for over 30 years.

Where would you love to travel to (either for the first time or to see again)? Now is the travel stage of my life. I’ve been to a lot of wonderful places but so much to see, I don’t see myself repeating. Last year I had a 30 day trip in Scandinavia and Ireland. I just got back from 16 days in the Yukon and Alaska. This fall I’m going on a 30 day trip to Switzerland and northern France. I’m also scheduled to go to Hawaii next spring and another 30 day trip next fall in Greece and cruising the Greek islands. My iconic jeans accompany me on every trip as well as Tekbika Punto Pants and several Alembika tops that I can layer.

  1. Jan is that Lake Louise? I was just there a few weeks ago. Canada changed the tour rules and our bus was not allowed passage to the sister lake. Our tour guide didn’t blink…she had us exchange buses with one that had permits in order for us to proceed.

  2. Thank you, I really loved Janice’s magazine piece. She didn’t look like the clothes were oversized at all. I am a huge fan of the iconic jeans and have 4 pairs that I love! Denim color, white-grey ish, black and green! I love them! I really love loads of pieces but worry about the over sized look.

Thank you for your comments, Tina! We are happy to help you select items that would be more fitted. If you’d ever like that help just email shop@alembika.com and put styling help in the subject line. And we’d LOVE to see photos of you in the jeans. They are so much fun, arent’t they?
