Yael Edelist We are brought up to believe we can do certain things, but that we “can’t” or “shouldn’t” do other things, especially later in life when we may be more fragile or have more to risk.
Personally, I was never adventurous and more on the fearful side when it came to taking physical risks. I am afraid of heights (got worse with age), I don’t feel safe on the water or in the deep ocean, flying is an issue, even though it’s getting better with age, and traveling far away makes me nervous too. But I am inspired by others who seem fearless and it motivates me to take risks, pushing me to be less fearful and say yes to new things.
