We give back throughout the year to a variety of non-profits. For International Women’s Day this year, we chose 100 Women Strong. As an organization founded and built by women, we honor their dedication to supporting women in need. This wonderful non-profit organization in Berrien County, Michigan provides modest, one-time emergency financial assistance to women who are ineligible for other community or state resources. By striving to alleviate the unexpected stress these women face, 100 Women Strong provides financial support as a stepping stone to self-sufficiency.

100 Women Strong is changing the lives of women every day. Take a look at one of their many success stories here:

“Recently a young mother and her five children moved to Berrien County from Chicago. Everything was going well until she hit a roadblock and was unable to make her rent payment. She was in danger of eviction and losing the home she had made for her family. Through our one-time, emergency grant assistance program, we were able to help her get her feet back on the ground. Today, she is once again meeting the needs of her family on her own.”

100 Women Strong also offers College Scholarships that serve to support and encourage female students—who have the drive to succeed but lack financial resources—to pursue a path to education and become self-sufficient as they work to develop a career. Amount of Scholarship: $1000.

“Thank you for the funding! Receiving this award not only helps with my college expenses, it reminds me that there are individuals and organizations in my community that give to make a difference in the lives of students. I am honored to have been named the recipient of this award. My career goal is to become an entrepreneur; because of my passion for film, I also aim to be a movie director or producer. With this scholarship, you are helping me to realize my educational dreams.”
