JEAN STONE: HEALTHCARE FRAUD & ABUSE

Meet Jean and learn how to identify, prevent and report healthcare fraud and abuse. You may recognize Jean as one half of The Idiosyncratic Fashionistas with Valerie, her partner in crime… But when this impeccable fashion influencer and loyal Alembika customer is not modeling, styling, speaking or conducting interviews, she volunteers for NY Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) counseling seniors, their families and caregivers to identify, prevent and report fraud, abuse and waste. Jean worked for the federal government for over 46 years, with more than 40 in Medicare and Medicaid—from policy and legislative development to procedure claims and fraud investigations. She also taught Medicare 101 and Medicare Fraud, Abuse and Waste at FBI Academy in Quantico, VA (!) as well as other training centers. She’s worked on hundreds of cases, testified as an expert witness in federal criminal and civil trials, grand juries and sentencing hearings, and has testified at trial for the NYC Special Narcotics Prosecutor.
