My husband and I went to LA to visit his daughter and our first grandson together. I got a taste of what everyone raves about when it comes to becoming grandparents.
It’s so simple. Everything you worried about as a parent — if they speak enough, are they turning on their sides on time, how much they can hold with their hands or will they get into that special daycare — is replaced by worry-free, unconditional love, fully present experience.
We love them and then we give them back to their parents. So perfect!
How do you grandparent?

And who said that LA is too warm for sweaters? It was chilly at night. I needed one.
