My son is getting married this month and my heart is filled with many tender feelings. I sit with the different stages of his life – sending him to college, watching him go off to explore the world and now, to see him get married. It can feel like a goodbye in some ways as he takes his next steps in his life. It is such a journey to watch our children grow while we grow ourselves alongside them.
I am deeply aware and present with the emotions that surface from this, a great opportunity for me to reflect.
Will the closeness we have shared through the years remain? Do my children need to be near me so I can feel complete and happy?
How do we learn to find the balance between letting go while still embracing the connection we share with our children?
Happy Tuesday.
